Northrop Grummans Enterprise Services organization is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Architect to perform key assignments for Mission Systems off-net Engineering and Manufacturing network. **Primary location preference would be Baltimore, MD, however, it can also can be performed as a** **virtual/telecommuter.**
The incumbent will support large heterogeneous unclassified computer networks that includes Linux, Windows and VMware virtualization with emphasis on supporting software development teams. This technical role requires an understanding of concepts including system administration, systems architecture, cyber security, and information assurance and requires the ability to support a diverse user community in a dynamic environment.
This position will report to the Enterprise Distributed Network (EDN) Manager with job day-to-day guidance from Sr. Principle Computer Systems Architect and ServiceDesk IPT Lead. Primary duties will include providing customer support for EDN users and assist in program onboarding, working with DevOps tools including but not limited to Atlassian tools, (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible / Fisheye), Jenkins, and CM Systems; maintaining system documentation, developing infrastructure support procedures, and providing security support.
**Basic Qualifications:**
**Requirements for a Level 2 are:**
At least 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems field; 0 Years with Masters
Experience with Linux & Windows OS administration.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies: VMware, vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi, Horizon View, vRA
Proven experience in a customer supporting role.
**Requirements for a Level 3 are**
At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems field; 3 Years with Masters
Experience with Linux & Windows OS administration.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies: VMware, vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi, Horizon View, vRA
Proven experience in a customer supporting role.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Familiarity with Atlassian tools setup, configuration and monitoring
Familiarity with Agile Scrum Methodology
Familiarity with Code Scanning tools/services (SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity)
Familiarity with system automation by using scripting languages like PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ansible, Salt, Python, JavaScript Experience maintaining Information Systems Security Plan (ISSP).
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Familiarity with database administration (MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL, MongoDB)
Understanding of Networking technologies including: - Port security - VLANs, VLAN trunking, Link Aggregation (LACP), spanning tree - Layer 3 Routing, CIDR subnetting - Software Defined Networking & Micro-segmentation - Understanding of VXLAN and logical networking concepts
Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper hardware and operating systems
Superior written and oral communication skills
Ability to work flex and overtime hours with some weekend hours expected.
Salary Range: $74,900.00 - $112,300.00Salary Range 2: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
