About the Job

We are looking for a passionate and experienced QA analyst ready to dive into our telemetry with the same meticulous passion for quality that we show to our gameplay. This person will be responsible for ensuring that our data pipelines run smoothly, creating and executing test plans on data systems, and conducting ad hoc analyses. By making sure our decisions are based on accurate, high quality data, you'll be making sure that we nerf the right things (e.g.). You'll be working side by side with designers, analysts and researchers in a role that's integral to keeping our live games at the highest quality.
Responsibilities
Identify, Investigate, and resolve data anomalies, dropouts, and data integrity issues, Evaluate large datasets for data quality and accuracy
Provide input on how data processes can be improved
Create dashboards and processes to verify the accuracy of gameplay and business data
Develop, maintain, and support business and data gameplay queries and reports
Provide summarized research results; design feedback and suggestions based on observation, research, and expertise directly to the development teams
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, computer science, statistics, or behavioral science emphasis preferred
Proficient with SQL or other structure query languages
Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and verbal)
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to develop test cases and scenarios based on data sources and test types
Ability to extract data samples and explain data accuracy as it relates to the test subject
Ability to work with different data formats, ie. Text, CSV, JSON, external data sources, application logs, and Telemetry messages
Experience translating data analysis into actionable product improvements
Basic knowledge of DBMS and data analytics tools such as Google Cloud, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Tableau, Google Analytics, Excel power pivot or similar
Adaptable and quick learner that enjoys tackling a large variety of problems
Pluses
Blizzard Entertainment player who demonstrates high skill in one or more games
Passion for user centered design testing in video games
Familiar with Bigquery, HUE, Hive, or Impala is a plus
Knowledge of Jira, Testrail, a plus
