Our team is delivering Intel Core’s power-performance management engine. This team is working on cutting-edge technologies in both design and verification to optimize the performance of the core while saving power.
About you:
Intel's Big Core group is looking for a Firmware (FW) Verification and Validation (V&V) Intern to define, design, code (C++, Python), run and analyze a V&V emulation environment, tests and tools for the innovative core power manager firmware using advanced firmware/software engineering methodologies. Job also includes power evaluation, performance enhancements and algorithm optimization. Expectation is to work through the entire firmware development cycle – from Pre-Silicon activities (simulation, emulation) till Post-Silicon activities (board bring-up).
Various validation techniques are used, such as emulation, while offering a unique hardware-software experience. In addition to various tools, languages and validation methodologies, interns will develop expertise with Intel Architecture and Micro Architecture and will be involved in the process of defining new Intel features. They are expected to be independent, creative, with the ability to innovate new solutions and demonstrate uncompromised quality during their work.

Qualifications
You should have:
Student towards B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
2-3 semesters left for graduation
Ability to work at least 27 hours a week (3 full working days)
Good communication skills among groups inside and outside of Israel
Familiar with OOP/OOD in C++ and/or Python
Fast learner
Nice to have:
Experience in firmware/hardware verification and validation
Experience in the development of firmware/hardware development environment with code/functional coverage
Experience in firmware validation concepts and methodologies
Experience in real-time/embedded firmware development and/or very-large-scale-integration (VLSI) hardware design
Experience in SystemVerilog
Familiarity with CPU architecture

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
