Chubb is seeking an innovative Head of Analytics Strategy & Adoption to oversee the process of deploying best-in-class analytics assets to a variety of business users for its North American Insurance operations. North America Insurance is Chubbs largest division comprising commercial and consumer P&C insurance businesses in the United States, Canada and Bermuda. The successful candidate is a proven leader with expertise in analytics product management, analytics asset management, and asset release management, oversight, testing and measurement. This leader will have a solid understanding of analytics processes, work across analytics and technical teams to advise on solution deployment plans and help to create user led business requirements, product / asset design, and facilitate the delivery of developed assets into our business ecosystem. As the company continues to undergo its digital transformation, the successful candidate should have significant experience in enterprise data and strategic analytics practices. As part of the North America Data & Analytics team, you will be a key business partner, working collaboratively with business unit leaders to achieve ambitious business plans, deepen customer and business partner relationships, IT partners, and vendors to ensure we maximize the investments made, as well as gaps that need attention. This role will be a key to supporting analytics asset development and end-user integrations, into digital applications, in the N.A. business. This role will require exceptional collaboration and influencing skills as well as a strong background in strategy development, with the ability to frame options for decision making in keeping with enterprise objectives. A strong understanding of analytics processes and how they can be applied to add value to business processes is required. Strong understanding and familiarity with end-users needs to drive requirement and asset development discussions. Exceptional project management skills; with a focus on develop user-friendly assets, and a solid understanding of UX design concepts and design thinking.





Reporting:Interim reporting to: Executive Vice President, North America Data & Analytics




Responsibilities:




  • Facilitate the effective deployment of analytics services and assets into the business



  • Responsible for the leading asset design (UI, UX, design thinking, etc.) and determine appropriate metrics to measure adoption



  • Development and implementation of value tracking and realization process



  • Work directly with the Data Science teams to review the work and ensure it meets the needs and requirements of the business units



  • Work directly with orchestration and deployment team to ensure effective hand-offs



  • Provides visibility and input where appropriate to the North America Head of Data & Analytics product owners, and product lines teams to ensure strategies and work are appropriately linked



  • Track and report out to senior management on the progress of analytics programs under management



  • Explore the question behind the question and identifies actionable solutions to the underlying problem



  • Support the strategic definition and alignment, programmatic project and change management; transforming data into (and communicating) actionable insights, and translating end customer needs into business priorities/actions



  • Oversight for the process orchestration of process pertaining to requirements (business, functional, technical) development and work plan design across multiple teams, including Chubb Group Analytics teams




  • Serve as a key advisor on the design of analytics applications (including models and APIs) and the inputs required and suitable work plans for building business-facing assets



  • Serve as Central point of connectivity between NA Analytics and Global Analytics for asset deployment planning and ensure the connectivity to end-user needs



  • Responsible for transitioning requirements to global analytics team and the NA asset development team



  • Advise on the design and execution of POCs and MVP intended to prove long-term value to the business



  • Key owner of the process to determine the relevant success metrics and KPIs that will serve to measure outcomes once assets are productionized



  • Responsible for testing of new analytics solutions once productionized



  • Review and assess work progress across NA and Global teams



  • Advise NA Data and Analytics Leadership, as well as other leadership teams, and recommended strategies and priorities around in-flight initiatives and assets to be developed relative to Chubbs strategy and intended business outcomes



  • Ownership of the NA strategy and process for how analytics assets get productionized across Field Operations and all NA Divisions



  • Support the interpretation and distillation of machine learning/AI concepts and outcomes to enable business unit leadership to set strategy and drive operating results



  • Support the delivery of large projects into production, overcoming implementation hurdles, partnering with underwriting, operations, and IT



  • Provides visibility and input where appropriate to the North America EVP of Data and Analytics and product lines teams to ensure strategies and work are appropriately linked



  • Track and report out to senior management on the progress of analytics



  • Stay current on the latest technology relative to ensure and digital consumption leading practices; contemplate how these can be applied within the North America organization

Qualifications




  • 7+ years of experience strategy, change management, transformation, business process management, or data and analytics as a leader



  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience



  • Experience in building support, agreement, or commitment for ideas presented



  • Exceptional project management skills



  • Experience in working in organizations with disparate data sets



  • Experience working across business, technical, IT, Digital and Operations teams to influence decisions and drive outcomes



  • Fully capable of working collaboratively with senior leaders as well as with external executive business partners



  • Strategic thinker with ability to frame options for decision making in keeping with enterprise objectives



  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to present complex issues in a manner that is easily understood by a non-technical audience
