**Job Description:**
Lead Software developer- This role requires an experienced software developer lead who is looking forward to work with XVA Counterparty Portfolio Management Technology group. The XVA Conveyor and Fusion technology team in CPM group requires senior software developer cum lead to work closely with various business and technology partners within Bank such as Global Market risk, Quants, Trading Front Desk, and Middle Office, QZ core, and Capstone team to ensure the successful implementation of application solutions in AGILE environment.
The responsibilities include design, development, testing, deployment, and post production support tasks including answering user questions, debugging issues. The candidate requires to lead and develop applications. The candidate should have experience with design, develop, and maintain high-performance systems in FO or risk management platforms. The candidate requires to be proficient in high analytical skills, design patterns, expertise in AGILE methodology, and implement Data quality and application testing standards and PROD release management. The candidate must have a short learning curve to adopt expertise in finance, market risk and other subject matters which is needed for the robust and stable software solutions. The candidate with prior knowledge of finance world, market risk technology, modeling, and Monte-Carlo simulation methodology will have the priority. The candidate must have prior working experience in full project life cycle with strong idea of challenges, scalability, enhancement, issues and remediation strategy at each stage. The candidate must be good team member by working along with large team also and ready to share experience and learn from others in order to support, build and grow with the team. Help shape Strategic goals for our systems and then deliver toward those goals .Bring the team along with you by sharing experiences while fostering talent in others and giving /seeking advice.
**Required Skills:**
The candidate must have expertise in Python 3.X, React JS, Ag-Grid, Agile and relations databases. This individual should also have good understanding of data structures and algorithms. Work with developers in US and offshore on day to day basis. Work very closely with Quartz Core, FICC Ops, CPM Risk partners, Compliance, PWC Audit and all other CPM team members and managers on day to day basis. This individual should have attitude helping other teams for the issues to be resolved for the items like SOX, Checklist, KRR, CPT, DR, ARC Test, Qzrelease-2, and python 3.X upgrades and other audit items.
**Desired Sills:**
Derivatives market knowledge is preferred. Seen a project through from inception to completion may be over multiple years and challenges An overwhelming urge to solve complex problems without being told to do so. Exceptional knowledge of computer science/engineering. Working in an environment using Python, React JS, Ag-Grid, Relations databases, SQL/PL SQL, Oracle, Unix
LOB General:
Responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team as they deliver technology solutions. Develops solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices. Ensures the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes. They have built significant experience through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Designs and develops and is accountable for feature delivery. Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality. Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt. Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level. Acts as a liaison for production activities/issues. Works with Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria. Guides the team on work breakdown and execution. Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team. Guides team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices). Identifies skill and role gaps, and works with Technology Manager to address them. Works with Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required. Individual contributor.
