The Marketing Department of Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Marketing Editorial Technology Specialist.  This position can be located in either the Washington, DC or New York office. The Specialist is a key contact for publishing editorial content, including Advisories, Alerts, Newsletters, Blogs and Client Announcements which are a critical and forward-facing component of the firm’s thought leadership.  The Specialist will report to the Digital Marketing Manager and work directly with the Marketing Editorial Specialist.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Website posting, email creation and distribution and internal communications of the firm’s steady stream of publications. 

  • Use SEO strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of firm editorial content.

  • Writing, copy editing and posting of website content and gathering of analytics to measure engagement with and effectiveness of the firm’s content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or English, required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of writing/editing experience, preferably in a professional services firm (ideally law firm) along with other marketing responsibilities.

  • A minimum of 2 years of website management (sitecore experience preferred) and email marketing experience (Vuture preferred) including experience in copy writing for SEO.

  • Proficiency in a range of  website content management systems and email marketing systems.  Vulture and Sitecore experience preferred.

  • Proficient in a range of computer software applications, website content management systems, email marketing systems, Google analytics, HTML, MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of general marketing and business concepts useful.  

  • Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines required.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Ability to demonstrate strategic focus.

  • Possess exceptional judgement and professionalism.

  • Ability to define goals and follow through to achieve results.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Possess reliability, dependability and motivation.

  • Excellent organization and communications skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.

  • Exceptional client service both internal and external.

  • Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
