Job Description Summary:

The NetSuite Platform Owner will coordinate the design, implementation, and deployment of code-related changes to NetSuite applications that support the mission of CFA Institute. This position will work within an agile, cross-functional delivery team through all phases of the software development lifecycle to deliver and maintain software solutions while contributing to coding and design standards. The NetSuite Platform Owner is responsible for providing oversight to consultant developer teams, managing NetSuite code repositories, packaging and deploying code changes, and managing the work item backlog for the NetSuite platform.
This position may be 100% remote but must be available for periodic travel to CFA offices in Charlottesville, Washington, DC, or New York City and reports to the Software Engineering Manager, Multi-Platform.
Job Description:
The skills and experience required for this role are:
Manage the NetSuite platform knowledgebase at CFA and serve as the primary point of contact for technical questions related to the platform.
Define and enforce development standards and best practices with regards to the organization's implementation of the NetSuite platform.
Manage the backlog of platform-specific development-related technical debt and prioritize cleanup efforts as part of delivery team work
Provide onboarding, guidance, and ongoing oversight to consultant developer teams that may work within CFA Institute's implementation of the NetSuite platform.
Own the process of packaging and deploying script changes to the NetSuite accounts.
Actively monitor the product roadmap for the NetSuite platform, communicate and respond to opportunities and threats related to the evolution of the platform.
Develop a deep understanding of business processes and be able to clearly communicate the impact of a technical solution on existing and future processes at the organizational level.
The skills and experience required for this role are:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 5 years relevant experience with software engineering practices
Significant experience with leading people toward departmental and technical objectives
Extensive experience in the following disciplines - Application Architecture, Information Modeling, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Object Oriented Programming, Quality Assurance, and Branch Management
Robust experience with JavaScript development or other scripting languages as well as a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and coding languages
Experience with the following is a plus:
SuiteCommerce Advanced is preferred
Preferred experience with Web Development, including ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript and CSS, REST, Web API and SOAP, SuiteBundler, and SDF
