You would lead performance engineering efforts for a large-scale eCommerce web application, backend micro services, and other internal software applications. Collaborate with architecture, development and infrastructure for performance tuning and capacity planning. Work cross-functionally to diagnose and solve complex performance problems providing detailed technical analysis and tuning recommendations. Drive process improvements and implement best practices for performance engineering team. **What you bring to the table:** + **Design, develop and execute performance test scripts in multiple systems and environments to identify applications server-side performance bottleneck, identify their root causes, help them to fix for scalability and stability for production releases.** + **Develop and maintain Frontend/Client-Side test scripts to perform client-side testing to verify the applications browser page load for production releases.** + **Deliver Comprehensive performance testing reports and make recommendations to appropriate cross-functional teams.** + **Develop and maintain test frameworks which automates the repetitive performance testing tasks.** + **Expertise in both Frontend/Backend performance testing, Performance Engineering activities using various tools such JMeter, LoadRunner, New Relic, Splunk and WebPageTest etc.** + **Debugging the applications performance issues reported/found in before or after the code release by inspecting them within the browser specific inspector tools such as Chrome Dev tools and other Debugging tools such as New Relic, Splunk etc.** + **Collaborate with technical leads, architects, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify, and ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines.** **Qualifications :** **Whats needed- Basic Qualifications** + Bachelors in Computer Science and 5+ years (or Masters in Computer Science and 3+ years) of proven Performance engineering experience. + Elaborate hands-on experience in the areas of non-functional requirement gathering, performance planning, scripting, execution, monitoring, bottleneck analysis, result reporting and defect tracking. + Programming skills and experience in at least one development language (Java/Python/Perl). + Proven performanceengineering experience using JMeter, LoadRunner, New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics or similar tools. + Ability to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively, adapt easily to shifting priorities. + Excellent verbal and written communications, ability to establish effective working relationships with team members and cross functional teams. **Whats needed- Preferred Qualifications** + Masters Degree + Experience with Retail domain. + Tuning experience with Node.js and/or Springboot, + Expert in performance tuning and code level understanding of applications. + Public cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS) experience. + Comfortable with Linux/Unix, GIT, Artifactory, BitBucket + Experience with Saas, Microservices and Cloud native architecture/applications. **We Offer:** + Salary + **Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups and resources such as the Social Justice Resource Center** + **Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays), Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more** **perks and benefits (https://careers.staples.com/Staples-Life/Benefits)** _Interested in joining the team?
