What You Will Do
The Senior Data Analyst will support data collection, analytics, data transformation, and modeling needs of North American Field Analytics. They will be responsible for initiatives and projects in support of developing analytical models and products for NA Field.
Responsibilities include:
Support work products within theNA Field Analytics from the perspective of data preparation and management
Collaborate with data scientists to provide analytics in preparation and development of AI/ML models
Creative acquisition of external data from various sources (Webscraping, Engagement with 3rd party vendors, etc.)
Work in partnership with Data Architects to develop solutions combining large, complex data sets into pragmatic, actionable tables and views. This includes learning about new internal data sources, understanding how the various data sources relate, and setting up and maintaining querying best practices for the department.
Collaborate with both internal (Business Intelligence/Financial Analytics/Chubb Digital/Chubb IT) and external (Vendor), in performing the necessary activities to support NA Field Analytics
Develop reports, analytical tools and dashboards that foster transparency and consistency and tell a compelling story to both internal and external stakeholders
Develop high performance data extractions and transformations to support short-term/tactical solutions or ad-hoc requests
Develop and maintain clear and succinct documentation
Special projects and ad-hoc requests from senior management and other business partners as needed
What We Are Looking For
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, with the ability to effectively present and explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience at various levels throughout the organization
Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of four years of analytical and/or consulting work experience (insurance industry experience preferred but not required)
Strong Excel & Python data analytics skills
Familiarity with SQL a plus as well as Qlik Sense and other BI tools
Enjoys working independently, in a collaborative environment that requires frequent communication of status and redirection of efforts as needed
Should have good organization skills with the ability to maintain detailed documentation
Intellectual curiosity: proactively seeks learning and able to quickly grasp new concepts, continuously expanding knowledge and expertise
