The Data Horizontal team within Enterprise Finance Technology consists of extremely talented engineers, who develop industry leading data services solutions in support of multiple Data Warehouses providing quality, controlled data that is used for liquidity regulatory reporting.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to aid in our migration to platforming onto containers.
**Role Overview**
Enterprise Finance Technologys Data Horizontal DevOps team is looking for motivated new talent to enhance the tooling, architecture, and capabilities of several EFT data warehouse and validation systems that are shifting to use containers as their core infrastructure.
The candidate will contribute to a range of strategic goals to build automated, controlled and intuitive software solutions in support of the Agile methodology.
These solutions will allow self-service and easy-to-manage capabilities for the overall development team in the building, testing and deployment of container-based software.
The candidate will also provide technical support and guidance for the processes and mechanisms in support of the above. The candidate will act as both an individual contributor and as part of a global team.
**Required Skills and Experience we are Looking For:**
+ Seeking DevOps Engineer with 5 to 7 years of overall hands-on working experience, with a minimum 3 to 5 years of practical working experience in building/configuring/supporting container-based software solutions.
+ Experience in several of the following tools is required:
+ OpenShift Container Platform
+ Docker Containers
+ Kubernetes
+ Helm Charts
+ Understanding of the Agile methodology
+ Experience using and/or configuring common SDLC tools that support Agile, such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible
+ Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical working experience in at least 1 of the following technologies:
+ Python
+ Unix/Linux shell scripting
+ SQL writing & knowledge of Relational Databases, preferably Oracle Exadata
+ Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Passion for automation and continual process improvement
+ Bachelors degree in STEM related field.
**Desired Skills and Experience we are Looking For:**
+ Exposure to the AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud computing systems
+ Experience supporting large Data Warehouse applications and exposure to related concepts (ETL, Star Schema, slowly changing dimensions)
+ Knowledge of or exposure to common Python packages, such as SQLAlchemy
+ Experience or familiarity with Apache Airflow
