The Global Risk Analytics GRA Technology team within Risk and Finance Technology consists of extremely talented engineers, who develop industry leading risk analysis models that provide solutions to provide regulatory reporting globally.
+ We are looking for looking for a talented and highly motivated software engineer with distributed computing technologies experience or knowledge in Python and/or Java to help support Model development quants on an Apache Spark based distributed analytics platform. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of big data platforms, spark optimization techniques and is able to handle multiple competing priorities.
Role Overview
+ Enterprise Risk & Finance Technologys GRA team is looking for motivated new talent to support the GRA model developer (quants) community with big data platform support. This role will require the successful candidate to get into the weeds of technical issues, often time helping to review and suggest corrections to model developer code.
Required Skills and Experience we are Looking For:
+ Advanced knowledge of Python, C/C++ or Java
+ Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.)
+ Experience with Cloudera Hadoop
+ Knowledge of GRID computing
+ Experience supporting model developers with platform related issues
Desired Skills and Experience we are Looking For:
+ Analytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skills.
+ Comfortable conditioning data analysis and telling data stories to management

**Jersey City pay range:**
$72,000 - $135,000
annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
