**Description** The Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Software Engineer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. **Responsibilities** The Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. Job responsibilities include the following: *Analysis, design and coding *Trouble shooting and problem solving *Providing technical leadership and guidance to others *Interacting with the Product Owner and other business partners to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications *Understanding and effectively utilizing Humana processes associate with all phases of the product delivery lifecycle including production deployment and post production warranty support (examples include all phases of testing, dev ops ci/cd pipelines, security vulnerability remediation and continuous code quality improvements) This role will be part of the Medical Records Management System; an enterprise system for requesting, receiving, storing and usage of medical records within Humana. This role requires strong analytical and design skills and will work with other Architects and Developers across many Humana systems. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field + 3 to 5 years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development + Technologies used (but not limited to) .Net, .Net Core, C#, SQL Server, Web API + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with Azure Dev Op, Azure Cloud, Terraform, React JS and/or Blazor, **Additional Information** Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.
