Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues and ensuring that quality is maintained by following development patterns and standards. Preparing deployment and post-deployment plans to support the conversion and deployment of the solution. Interacting with architects, technical project managers, developers to certify that solutions meet requirements and customer needs. Improving coding quality and reliability by implementing good standards and processes (best practices). Increasing productivity by implementing tools and processes.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
Minimum 5 years of IT Experience.
General Healthcare/Insurance industry experience (Prior-Authorization familiarity) preferred
At least 3 years of coding experience using .NET framework
Strong Background in C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and SQL Server (No-SQL and Cosmos DB experience is a plus)
Experience with APIs specific to the health care domain, e.g. FHIR, HL7, X12 278
Proven Web Development experience in .NET technologies, (C#) and Web/Rest API and related technologies (XML, JSON, Rest, Soap, WS)
Experience with UI framework (React JS/Angular)
Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure resources
Familiarity with event driven technologies and architecture, e.g. Kafka
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team
Experience on CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of Terraform Script is plus
Test driven design (TDD) methodology experience
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders or team member to resolve issues
Candidate should be able to lead cross functional Solutions
Excellent Communications skills and should be able to effectively collaborate with the remote teams - both on-shore and off-shore
Responsibilities:
Build and Deploy REST APIs that is available for Enterprise LOBs and Public.
Build and Deploy Azure Resources using Automation tools and technologies.
Research, conceive and develop software applications to extend and improve on Project offering.
Design, write, and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of current applications.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and document software functionality.
Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
Solve problems relating to mission-critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions.
Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to data and information.
Demonstrate knowledge in source control platforms and familiarity with version control concepts
Conducts tasks and assignments as directed to include managing individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Works with moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 95,900 - 159,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
