What youll be doing: The Pricing/Revenue Management Senior Analyst will serve as expert contract and pricing resource for assigned portfolio of accounts. They will oversee margin performance drivers and be lead contact for portfolio valuations of contract terms and conditions (Ts&Cs). They will proactively prepare and conduct contract update reviews and service existing account pricing and margin requests from sales teams. **Key Responsibilities:** + Actively manage price, assortment, and contract opportunity of assigned contracted business portfolio; ~1,000+ accounts, totaling ~200-300M annualized sales + Responsibility for knowledge sharing key intra-portfolio insights among peer team and Revenue Management leadership team as needed + Recommendations of Contract Ts&Cs negotiation goals during renewal cycles + Understand and analyze key financial metrics withing assigned portfolio + Assist management with training and onboarding of new associates + Assist or lead special pricing projects + Encouraged to think like an owner and identify strategic opportunities to influence and enhance pricing outcomes **What you bring to the table:** + Deliver accrued contract opportunity to sales teams at Rep, Director, and AVP level + Directly contribute to delivery of Staples annual margin expansion budget + Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLA) on inbound pricing and margin request queue + Manage multiple accounts and portfolio timelines; prioritize and communicate status to internal stakeholders; demonstrate accountability and sense of urgency for due dates and quality of work + Follow defined pricing policies, but routinely exercise independent judgement + Apply critical thinking to proactively identify key issues, challenges, and opportunities + Influence market and sales leaders to leverage new tools and strategies + Collaborate and share best practices with other departments and business units. + Experienced analytical thinker and problem solver and easily adapt to a fast- paced environment + Quickly become proficient in using Staples pricing tools, but recognize need and perform additional analysis when necessary + Quickly digest a Staples customer P&L to understand and communicate key components and drivers, + Build knowledge of Staples categories, organization, industry, and strategy **Qualifications :** **What's needed - Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree required; concentration in business management preferred + Minimum 3-years pricing or similar analytic experience; strong financial modeling skills + Strong communication skills, both oral and written; ability to influence + At ease with data and numbers / proficient with MS Excel, MS Access, or higher order analytic tools + Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task **What's needed - Preferred Qualifications:** + Previous work experience for supplier or distributor in a B2B model with vendor deviations/rebates + Familiarity with B2B Pricing Software: (Vendavo, Pros, Zilliant, etc.) + Experience in office products, facility supplies, breakroom supplies, or pack & ship products + Negotiation skills **We Offer:** + Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups + Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays) + Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more perks and benefits (https://careers.staples.com/Staples-Life/Benefits) _Interested in joining the team?
