Brand Public Relations is a critical component to driving consumer demand, enhancing brand awareness and enabling our growth as a company. As we transform our business and pursue our premiumization strategy, we seek an experienced Brand PR practitioner to lead a robust team of PR professionals within the Global Communications function. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this leader will serve as the nexus between communications and brand, acting as a thought partner to our President of Brands and Brand House Managing Directors, as well as regional marketing leads, and their respective teams to develop and execute world class PR, media relations, as well as influencer and consumer engagement programs that connect our global portfolio of brands in culture

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic development and oversee implementation of high-impact Brand Public Relations strategies, including advanced use of media relations, event marketing and influencer marketing across Beam Suntory Brand Houses, select local brands and ready-to-drink products from global to regional level.

  • Strong strategic thinking in influencer mapping and identification to drive awareness and media results for brand activations.

  • Develop news-worthy pitches and media angles and generate news and "buzz-worthy" content in traditional, digital and social media platforms, and collaborate closely with Social Media team on integrated PR programming.

  • Effectively manage public relations agencies throughout all phases, from creative development through program execution and evaluation. Work with Brand Houses to develop and manage scope-of-work for public relations agencies.

  • Build and maintain excellent influencer and media relations across print, online, social while identifying gaps and opportunities.

  • Prepare and manage public relations budgets in conjunction with yearly planning process and program development.

  • Write media releases, correspondence, speeches and presentations related to brands and Company issues working in collaboration with Corporate Communications as needed.

  • Create and manage processes to define, evaluate and showcase success of brand public relations programs.

  • Work with corporate communications colleagues to ensure brand stories and activities are communicated to employees internally.

  • Manage direct reports and build engagement and career pathing and development among team.

  • Collaborate with the digital and social media teams to ensure an integrated approach in driving brand visibility.

  • Measure effectiveness of brand PR impressions versus spend to ensure ultimate ROI.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong media relations experience.

  • Proven ability to collaborate, work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects at once.

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and thrive in a rapid-paced, constantly changing environment.

  • Proven ability to manage high performing team.

  • Successful track record of influencing and working in a matrixed organizational structure.

  • Minimum 10 years public relations experience; consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience especially in luxury goods in either an agency or corporate setting preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, public relations, journalism or related discipline.

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 20% of the time, including global travel.

  • New York City-based role with flexibility to work remotely up to 40% of the time.
