The Opportunity
Lead a team of Data Scientists / Developers that build and maintain algorithms which automate business processes
Develop and productionize predictive models to help forecast business performance / drivers
Design and develop new front-end product features to enhance Abbott’s eCommerce capabilities
Collaborate with cross functional and non-technical partners to evaluate opportunities to utilize data analytics to maximize marketing and sales success
Create powerful business intelligence tools to provide stakeholders with easily consumable, actionable information/insights
Complete ad-hoc requests to support tactical and strategic business needs
Required Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in Data Science, Software Engineering, Statistics and/or Computer Science
Strong background in R, Python, and/or other general programming languages
Extensive experience with SQL and relational databases
Strong background in Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
Familiarity with software development
Experience with Git and GitHub (or an equivalent version control system)
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to clearly communicate technical analysis and findings to non-technical audiences
BS in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related field
MS or higher degree in technical discipline preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Basic familiarity with web development, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and/or C#
Familiarity with Selenium or any other web-based automation tool
Familiarity with Machine Learning platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, Tensor Flow, etc.
