The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible to develop and perform exploratory tests as well as automated tests in order to ensure product quality. The Senior QA engineer's responsibilities include estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities. The Senior QA Engineer will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system

Primary Functions
Develop test plans and detailed test cases using Azure DevOps
Create, maintain and perform automated regression test suite using Cypress automation tool
Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, harness scripts, and automated scripts
Design and execute Performance test scenarios and test cases using JMeter or similar performance testing tools
Setup and configure test environments, databases, and tools for the QA team in Amazon Web Services cloud environment
Act as a liaison working closely with DevOps to set up test data, build CICD pipelines and automated test gates
Lead project teams as needed with only modest overseeing
Document process or procedures within the QA department
Interact with other departments (e.g., operations, services) for smoke testing, prior to the release of applications
Liaison with Development, Product Management, and Customer Support teams
Create change request cases and provide accurate tasks and instructions in Salesforce
Guide and mentor other team members as needed

Qualifications
Technical understanding of SAS / Cloud-based software concepts especially for AWS
Understanding of SQL queries and relational databases such My SQL, SQL Server, AWS Mongo database
Working knowledge of automated test development with Cypress and Java Scripting
Expertise in database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers, and replication
Proficient in developing automated functional, and API test scripts using JavaScript using Cypress
Experience with developing and executing automated test scripts, tests plans, and traceability matrix
Prior experience with creating and executing performance test scenarios for SAS products
Technically capable of doing backend SQL scripting, data validation, and application configuration testing
Experience with Linux OS is a nice to have

Education and Years of Experience:
BS in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
5+ years of relevant QA technical experience
Minimum 5-6 years of software testing in a SaaS environment
