**IT Principal Software Engineer- Automation**
The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. **What youll achieve**
As a Principal Engineer on the team you will design and develop applications with a focus on automating systems and processes. You will work with the Automation Engineering team to identify opportunities automation within software processes, database, and infrastructure.
**You will:**
+ Work with a talented group of developers, architects, product owners, to deliver innovative, high quality products and solutions on a foundation of architectural excellence.
+ Develop high quality code that will bring automation across Database Technologies and Infrastructure in our Dell Digital organization.
+ Use Agile & modern software development practices including automated unit testing, automated integration testing, DevOps, IaaC, CICD and other practices.
**Essential Requirements**
+ Solid experience with SRE or Automation development / DevOps experience;
+ Development background using Python, Python Flask or Python with Ansible, AWX, Ansible Tower, including Ansible APIs, AWX and Shell Scripting;
+ Database experiencia with one or more SQL(SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL(MongoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch) database technology;
+ Experience in implementing RESTful APIs, micro services and Design Patterns;
+ Experience in Networking and Operating System/ Infrastructure.
**Desirable Requirements**
+ Experience in BlackDuck, SonarQube and Checkmark;
+ Experience with open source logging and reporting solutions (Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk,Zabbix);
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related areas.
