Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements Sitting for long periods of time in front of computer monitors, may require lifting, pushing of objects up to 50lbs, repetitive motion Shift Primarily Days with evenings/weekends as needed Job Summary The Markey Cancer Center (MCC), Kentucky Cancer Registry (KCR) is seeking a Technical Administrator II. Under the supervision of the Director of the Cancer Research Informatics (CRI) Shared Resource Facility at the Markey Cancer Center, the Technical Administrator (working title: Cancer Research Informatics Project Manager) coordinates activities and the expansion of informatics services provided by CRI. Through proven project management methodology and expertise in informatics and healthcare, this individual successfully manages the timely implementation of informatics projects to ensure progress toward established goals. Manages projects related to developing, maintaining, and making available biomedical applications and information via the MCC Cancer Research Data Commons, including clinical and multi-omics data derived from multiple institutional, regional and national data sources. Engages in the planning, budgeting, execution, and tracking of multiple informatics projects. Develops policies and procedures to ensure appropriate and timely access to the data sources for clinical, research and instructional purposes. Works with stakeholders to promote and provide informatics services.
