As part of the firm's ongoing commitment to best-in-class technology, Cosentini, a Tetra Tech company, is hiring a BIM Manager for the New York City office. BIM Manager will be responsible for maintaining and continually developing software optimization, workflows, and standards in collaboration with Cosentini's engineering staff.

As a BIM Manager at Cosentini, you will have the chance to mentor and impart knowledge to engineers and designers. At the same time, you will be working with some of the top engineers in the field, gaining additional expertise and building your reputation and career.
Your role :
Implement tools and workflows that provide increased automation of Cosentini's existing workflows and processes provided by the BIM/VDC Lead.
Maintain familiarity with currently accepted standards and methods for construction in the building industry. Monitor trade related publications to identify emerging technologies that may impact how Cosentini delivers projects. Work with management to develop strategies to implement those technologies
Create and periodically lead training sessions for the firm's engineers and designers to rollout new tools and workflows as they become available. Conduct orientations for new employees to familiarize them with the firm's standards.
Download and upload models; set up and update complex models on BIM360 and Local project drives
Provide phone, email and in-person support to users in multiple offices
Attend meetings and/or conference calls with team members on model and setup issues
Manage MEP design coordination and clash detection process on projects, using Revit and Navisworks Manage.
Audit and update Revit Models for adherence to BIM Execution Plan.
Download and process Autocad Files as backgrounds for users.
Create and/or update CAD and BIM Library Content as needed.
Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards
Communicate with architect and other consultants to receive, coordinate, and update all electronic models.

Required Skills & Required Experience :
Proficiency and minimum 5 years of experience working directly with the MEP disciplines, working for an Architecture or Engineering firm.
Expertise with Revit as demonstrated by sophisticated use of software beyond just modeling, such as creation of families, schedules, parameter management, view template management, viewports, HVAC load calculations, etc.
Experience with training and managing a BIM team.
Experienced AutoCAD user
Experience using BIM360 Cloud Collaboration platform
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required
Talent for improving & automating processes to be more efficient and user friendly. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to develop custom content for Revit including coding in the .NET API, and Dynamo to assist engineering staff with automating tasks and increasing efficiency.
General familiarity with electrical and mechanical calculations, with an in-depth knowledge of how they can be executed in Revit, or seamlessly between Revit and other software programs.
Have willingness to learn the company's business and industry.
Knowledge of other parametric, fabrication or coordination tools a plus.
Familiarity with processing & working with laser scans and point clouds a plus.
Strong technical skills, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
