Disney General Entertainment (DGE) is seeking a **Corporate Communications Coordinator** to support Executive and Corporate communications for National Geographic Content and provide direct support to the Vice President, Corporate Communications.

**Job Responsibilities:**


+ Provide operational support to Vice President, Corporate Communications, including light calendar scheduling, expenses, calendars and contacts; Shadow and participate in all key Corporate Communications meetings when needed; creating concise meeting notes with follow up details


+ Conduct comprehensive research and vetting of industry conference and executive speaking opportunities, both nationally and internationally

+ Work with external PR agency to maintain editorial, awards and events calendars, and help prepare and submit entries and pitches

+ Work with external PR agency to build DEI-focused panels, awards and power events calendars, and help prepare and submit entries and pitches

+ Maintain Nat Geo Content Speakers Panel calendar and records

+ Assist with logistics and coordination of executive appearances at press and industry events

+ Assist vice president with writing executive communications, numerous presentations and more

+ Research, update and maintain media lists

+ Assist in executing key elements of Internal corporate communications strategy that includes, but not limited to, aggregating key Nat Geo Content moments, announcements and accomplishments to present and share across The Walt Disney Companys internal channels to raise brand awareness internally

+ Write, edit and publish relevant internal and external communications reporting/content across a range of communication channels and formats

+ Help update and maintain key industry media list

+ Maintain and update Nat Geo Content Style guide and assets

+ Help develop, support and execute employee events and other employee engagement activities

+ Coordinate closely with National Geographic Contents Key senior executives Coordinators to ensure VP, Corporate Communications is aware of relevant speaking engagement requests; and maintain a department tracking calendar

+ Meet regularly and work in complete collaboration with the Program Publicity/Marketing coordinators on programming content and talent issues as needed for alignment of brand events and publicity announcements.

+ Coordinate closely with publicity and marketing divisions across National Geographic Content, Disney General Entertainment and the wider Walt Disney Company, and participate in cross-functional activities

+ Support additional projects as assigned


**Required Skills and Qualifications:**


+ A self-starter and resourceful problem solver for whom no job is too big or too small

+ Highly organized and easily manages multiple tasks simultaneously under deadline/pressure

+ Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Approachable style and ability to effectively and professionally interface with all levels of management and business partners, including executives, teammates, talent, press and external contacts

+ High level of attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, exercise good judgment and use discretion

+ Demonstrates curiosity, business acumen, a strong interest in corporate communications and a desire to understand the big picture

+ Proficient in internet-based research and experience with PowerPoint/Keynote, Microsoft Office, Excel or Smart Sheets


**Preferred Qualifications:**


+ Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, strong presentation deck skills

+ Proficiency with Smartsheet is a plus.

+ At least 2 years professional experience in a corporate communications, media relations or public relations is a plus.


**Required Education:**


+ BA or BS required, preferably with a degree or emphasis in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
