ABC News nearly 2,000 employees are part of Disney General Entertainment (DGE), a collection of renowned content brands at The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) creating original entertainment and news programming for the companys streaming platforms and its cable and broadcast networks. In addition to ABC News, DGEs portfolio includes 20th Television, ABC Entertainment, ABC Signature, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic and Onyx Collective. DGE develops, produces, curates and markets groundbreaking programming from dynamic storytellers. DGE is focused primarily on creating content for the companys streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu and Star, and branded networks including ABC, Disney Channel, Freeform, FX and National Geographic.


We are looking for a **Coordinator, Corporate Communications** to help support internal and external communications strategies that will positively impact ABC News business and brand reputation. This role will support both the vice president and director of Corporate Communications, and report to the director. They will be involved in the operational and strategic execution of all aspects of the divisions activities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, incredibly organized, works well under tight deadlines, an excellent written communicator, and possesses a deep interest in building brands and learning how communications can help drive positive business outcomes.

**Job Responsibilities:**


+ Conduct comprehensive research to compile lists of and vet requests for industry conference and executive speaking opportunities

+ Assist with logistics and coordination of executive appearances at press and industry events

+ Assist with planning and execution of in-person internal and external events

+ Assist vice president and director with writing executive communications, presentations and more

+ Research, update and maintain media lists

+ Help develop, support and execute employee events and other employee engagement activities.

+ Write, edit and publish relevant reporting/content across a range of communication channels and formats

+ Develop and maintain editorial, awards and events calendars, and help prepare and submit entries and pitches

+ Provide operational support to vice president, Corporate Communications, including scheduling, travel, expenses, calendars and contacts

+ Coordinate closely with divisions across ABC News, Disney General Entertainment and The Walt Disney Company, and participate in cross-functional activities

+ Support additional projects as assigned


**Required Skills and Qualifications:**


+ Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work or internship experience. Public relations or corporate communications experience preferred.

+ A self-starter and resourceful problem solver for whom no job is too big or too small

+ Highly organized and easily manages multiple tasks simultaneously under deadline/pressure

+ Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Approachable style and ability to effectively and professionally interface with all levels of management and business partners, including executives, teammates, talent, press and external contacts

+ High level of attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, exercise good judgment and use discretion

+ Demonstrates curiosity, business acumen, a strong interest in corporate communications and a desire to understand the big picture

+ Well-versed in ABC news programming

+ Proficient in internet-based research and experience with PowerPoint/Keynote and Microsoft Office

+ Ability to work a hybrid schedule - both in person in the New York City office and from home


**Required Education:**


+ BA or BS from a four-year accredited college or university.
