Java Developer - Software Engineer II

**Job Description:**
This position is for an experienced Full Stack Java developer to enhance and support the Appointment and Customer Service Request Tracking applications for Bank of America. These applications interact directly with customer facing digital channels such as Online Banking and Mobile to book and manage customer appointments and track customer service requests. This role is responsible for developing and managing complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors; Triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Participates, contributes and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes. This position is for an Individual contributor with no direct reports.
**Required Skills:**
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in Java/J2EE Technologies
+ Minimum 5 years of development experience in Core Java/J2EE Web services (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JNDI, XML,WSDL, SOAP,REST, EJB, HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and XML)
+ Open source frameworks and tools (Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Log4J, SLF4J, AJAX, Ant.)
+ Scheduling tools (Autosys), Shell scripts on Linux/AIX, IBM MQ Series, i2 Framework, IDEs, Eclipse, and IBM RAD
+ Writing SQL Statements, Triggers, and Stored procedures for database transactions in Oracle, SQL server, Cassandra
+ Working with different operation systems (Linux, AIX, Windows)
+ Understanding of the Agile/Lean SDLC
+ Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
+ Handling critical business applications issues and failure recoveries
+ Troubleshooting various pre and post implementation issues
+ Prior experience working and directing activities of globally distributed teams
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
**Desired Skills:**
+ Working knowledge of build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins, Ansible Tower and others
+ Familiarity with UI development and Angular
+ Prior banking/finance experience of working with globally distributed teams
+ Prior Scrum / Safe or Lean agile development experience
+ Works independently, with limited direction, and is evaluated through end results
+ Interacts efficiently with internal contacts/teams to drive through the solution and solve problems
+ Strong communication skills; proactively bring forward concerns
