Job Description & Responsibilities

As a Lead Analyst, you will be a critical member of the Persistent Programs and Contracts Team based in New York City, NY. The Lead Analyst will define and provide management and analytical support for new and existing programs, lead the completion of program artifacts, lead meetings and discussion topics, prepare summaries, and drive actions to completion for communication system programs for customers including Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations, Public Safety, International, Commercial, and other internal efforts. The Lead Analyst will be integral in program development and execution as you will have insight into the RFI/RFP/Delivery process, working closely with Program Managers, Contracting, Sales, and other teams across Persistent Systems.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design and lead data gathering and analyses of program requirements, including technical and non-technical (preferably in the Government tactical communication systems industry)

  • Exercise independent judgment regarding data gathered for market, program, and management analyses

  • Develop and present findings to varying technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive ''C'' level management, VP, and Director levels, clients, and end-users

  • Drive to reach conclusions

  • Oversee and develop templates and drafts for RFI/RFP technical and non-technical responses, white papers, presentations, and other artifacts including writing and diagramming of concepts from initialization to final versions

  • Lead discussions with the Program and Contracts Team, Sales, and other departments, record meeting summaries, and drive actions to completion



Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in engineering, scientific, or business/related discipline

  • Hold a recognized credential / certification either in project management credential/certification (e.g., PMP, etc.) or competitive market intelligence (e.g., DelTek, Shipley, or other similarly recognized source)

  • 8 years of overall professional work experience or a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant professional experience

  • 5 years of experience generating high quality content for proposals, white papers, deliverables, and other client facing artifacts containing technical/non-technical/diagrammed content

  • 5 years of experience performing data gathering and analysis for technical, nontechnical, or other business/market intelligence purposes

  • Strong Proficiency in business software packages such as Microsoft Office

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbal

  • Experience with industry-standard project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project), and other analytical/business intelligence software/tools (e.g., DelTek GovWin, or similar)

  • Must be available to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, preferably in engineering, scientific, or business/related discipline

  • Hold a recognized credential / certification in both project management (e.g., PMP, etc.) and competitive market intelligence (e.g., DelTek, Shipley, or other similar)

  • 10 years of overall professional experience, with a minimum of 7 years of directly relevant professional experience

  • 2 years of experience working directly with customers and end users

  • 2 years of experience working with customer organizations such as large sized Government entities

  • 2 years of experience working with mid-size or larger Commercial organizations

  • 2 years of experience with leading project teams

  • 2 years of experience with proposal development (technical, cost, etc.)

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing organization

  • Proficiency with graphics tools such as Microsoft Visio, In Design / Photoshop

  • Experience with industry-standard project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project), and other analytical/business intelligence software/tools

  • Must possess an active Secret US Security Clearance
