Overview
i3 is seeking a Linux Administrator to support an Army Contract. They will provide technical expertise supporting RHEL/CentOS Information Systems in an enterprise environment. They must have experience interpreting and applying the DISA STIGs. The Linux Admin must have a customer centric approach and provide all level of support for the technical and cyber team as well as the user base community. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
A successful candidate will:
+ Configure, build, install, and administer Linux operating systems in accordance with approved baselines, best practices, and DISA STIGs in a virtual environment.
+ Responsible for loading and supporting required system software including respective office software, additional products in the Microsoft and Linux suite of software, test applications and GOTS software.
+ Support, troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware conflicts/problems on RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, and Ubuntu workstations in a virtual environment.
+ Analyze and implement security posture of Linux environment based on DISA STIGs and SCAP data, NIST guidance, vendor Security Review Guides (SRGs) and best practices.
+ Provide updated STIGs to the Cybersecurity Team to maintain RMF compliance in support of approved ATO, utilizing EvalSTIG and Ansible Playbooks.
+ Experience with Linux authentication using Centrify with Active Directory and two factor authentication utilizing CAC. (Experience with local, LDAP, Samba w/AD a plus)
+ Possess strong script troubleshooting and generation for applying STIG requirements.
+ Assist in maintaining system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
+ Understanding of information Assurance (IA) systems and practices, such as DISA STIGs, RMF, and system hardening.
+ Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line systems and in person.
+ Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
+ Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
+ Experience writing and developing playbooks using Ansible (Experience with Puppet is a plus).
+ Troubleshoot NFS and SAMBA shares.
+ Maintain repository mirrors for Linux OS updates for CentOS and Ubuntu.
+ Build DevOps environment running Ansible CFG management and GitLab.
Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
+ DoD 8570.01-M compliant.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
+ Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.
+ Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
