To that end, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Citi Strategic Training for Experienced Professionals Program within Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory (BCMA), aimed at recruiting underrepresented experienced professionals from backgrounds outside of institutional client advisory and capital markets.This program is a unique opportunity for individuals interested in making a transition into Financial Services, and specifically into our Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory (BCMA) unit. With an expected start date of February 2023, participants will go through an exciting and intensive 5-month training program to help develop the skills needed to be successful in a banking role. Following successful completion of the training, participants will have the opportunity to join our incoming Associate class in July 2023.

**Your time here will look something like this...**

The training program will involve a combination of classroom-style training, mock project/deal assignments to apply classroom learning into practice, as well as mentorship by Senior Bankers and shadowing those Bankers on live deals. After completion of the training program, job responsibilities as an Associate may include a combination of the below, depending upon which group you are assigned to: * Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management support * Assist with day-to-day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts, share repurchase and interest rate/equity derivatives * Support Bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenue * Responsible for evaluating public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses * Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, "best practices" and competitive landscape * Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. * Assist in the execution of Citis Investment Banking business activities * Leverage past related experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising capabilities * Contribute to building Citis franchise - including but not limited to - credit analysis for approval memos, market analysis and research, work in collaboration with product partners * Manage and mentor analysts by providing detailed guidance and feedback, managing information flow, and providing credit and exposure information to analyst, as appropriate

Participants in this program will have the opportunity to gain exposure to our BCMA groups: The Global Corporate Bank is a leading provider of value-added financial services to top-tier Local, Multinational, Public Sector and Financial Institution Clients. The corporate bankers have a comprehensive understanding of our clients wide range of complex financial needs allowing us to effectively deliver innovative solutions to our clients. The bankers partner with product specialists to provide a full array of corporate banking solutions, ranging from cash management, foreign exchange, trade finance, custody, loans to issuance in the capital markets (debt and equity), derivatives and structured products. The Investment Banking unit provides comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services to top corporations, financial institutions, and governments worldwide. Clients receive tailored financial solutions and strategic advisory services on a wide range of advisory and capital-raising activities including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting and distributing equity, debt, and derivative securities. Our bankers are organized into industry, product and regional groups and work closely with our partners in capital markets, sales and trading, research, and global relationship banking to offer customized financing strategies for our clients. The Capital Markets ("CM") Group partners with various areas within Citi - including the banking teams, Analytics, Sales and Trading in the U.S., as well as partners in EMEA and APAC to raise capital for issuers. Acting as an intermediary between issuers and investors, CM works to deliver best in class capital raising solutions during the execution process to a diverse range of clients - including corporations, asset managers, insurance companies, banks, and hedge funds around the world. The work involves guiding issuers through the marketing, book build, execution, and pricing of new issue products, as well as distributing equity, bonds, and loans to institutional investors across a wide range of asset classes in various industries. A position in CM will allow participants to cultivate market knowledge across different asset classes, develop opinions and advise on market context and market access, and maintain deep understanding of relative value in capital markets.

**We want to hear from you if...**

* 4-7 years of professional experience, ideally in Engineering, Accounting, Law/Legal, Consulting, or a related industry * Strong interest in Financial Services * Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills * Technical experience a plus, but not required * Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills * Ability to work with teams and track business development (collect research, analyze industry trends)
