**We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Reliability Engineering team. The Reliability Engineering team is responsible for improving application experience, increasing Disney Streamings reliability, and decreasing the acceptable error margin. We are hyper focused on mitigating risk launches, which include big titles, feature rollouts, and global expansion. The team is also responsible for improving the reliability, performance, and user experience across Disney+, Star+, ESPN+, and Hulu.**
**This role will be highly visible across the Streaming organization and we are looking for an innovative person to help us lay the ground work for new tools and automation into our environment and workflows to enable faster, scalable and reliable service on a global scale. We want a leader with an acute attention to detail, a strong sense of accountability, collaboration, technical understanding, and experience managing cross-work stream technology and engineering initiatives.**
**In this role you will play a key role in contributing to the success of our engineering organization and overall product strategy. You will be tasked with identifying the technology and tooling necessary to integrate into the environment and help provide solutions for our monitoring and alerting products to drive increased reliability and improve the health of our ecosystem.**
**Responsibilities:**
+ **Drive solutions of products, including road-mapping, execution, and delivery, with an emphasis on ensuring high quality processes and scalability**
+ **Lead workload, utilization, and sprint allocation for your team using agile methodologies**
+ **Explore new technologies and innovative ways to improve engineering logging and data measurement, proposing and driving improvements to the engineering stack and roadmap**
+ **Ensure engineering capabilities are able to provide adequate feedback to developer teams, including those using data points for critical algorithms impacting the customer**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ **Experience in software engineering, data analysis, solution architect, or similar role**
+ **Experience leading a team of engineers and managed high profile projects**
+ **Familiarity with SDLC processes (GitHub) and configuration based deployment practices**
+ **High familiarity with data platforms such as Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Datadog, Splunk**
+ **Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills**
+ **High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving strategic thinking**
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ **Experience in similar streaming industry**
+ **Knowledge of client and server-side architecture a plus**
+ **Experience writing in Java, Python, Spark, Pyspark, SQL, or Scala**
**Required Education:**
+ **BA or BS in a quantitative field (Business, Math/Statistics, Economics, CS, Engineering, or similar) is desired**
