ViiV is seeking an experienced Director, Sales Operations and Analytics. This role will be responsible for the entire portfolio and all selling teams in ViiV, reporting into the Field Strategy and Operations Head and working in close partnership with the Sales Leadership Team. The main goal of this role is twofold: to ensure sales operations run smoothly and to modernize our analytics tools for the field to enhance sales performance. This is a critical role that connects the field execution with the company objectives including the right cross functional partnership to support the field when appropriate. The role is expected to maximize collaboration with the extended Field Strategy and Operations group (including market development teams and performance and engagement teams) with the overarching objective to improve sales performance. The role needs to work very closely with Sales Leaders and our Business Intelligence teams to build on top existing efforts while tech-enabling field teams. Additionally, this role interacts with Marketing, Medical, Digital, Medical, Access and Payer teams and requires understanding the big strategic picture while understanding execution at territory level. This role will provide/gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Ensure ViiV sales operations, systems and processes run smoothly and compliantly across selling teams. Take a lead role serving as a strategic partner with Sales leadership, marketing, sales analytics related to planning field deployment, executing resource allocation and optimization, KPI achievement and ensuring alignment of initiatives and activities to ViiV priorities. Lead on national projects developing potential solutions to improve sales force effectiveness, deployment and sales processes. Co-create development plans for direct reports. Accountable for incorporating segmentation into targeting strategies that can be monitored and improved over time. Understand opportunities to improve our execution based on real data, including customer preference and efficiency of channels. Diagnose different sales data consumer groups and create a strategy to fulfill needs for home office, field based and senior leaders to understand and improve subnational performance. Leverage existing data strategies to Improve visualization tools that the field will use (including excel, power BI, tableau, among others) Direct the implementation and execution of various systems which impact the overall organization (Veeva, IQ, field devices, etc.) Leverage the AI/ML initiatives to drive better sales performance. Partner closely with the Sales Leadership to understand areas of opportunity and value. Partner closely with the extended Sales Operations group to act as one team across the portfolio, including maximizing current analytics, systems and reports and incentive compensation strategies to identify and monitor growth opportunities. Build trust with peers across the organization to be able to connect the dots while gaining support from home office teams. Manage the communication process to field across different teams. Including Field Executive Councils. Responsible for the risk monitoring process for sales activity. Manage specialized vendors and consultants as pertinent. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelors Degree. 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience in commercial roles in sales, marketing, operations, analytics within the Pharmaceutical Industry. Sales Operations Experience. Hands on experience driving data visualization projects (tableu, powerBI, etc) Experience analyzing and visualizing various data sources regarding market and brand dynamics (e.g., retail/ non-retail RX data, HCP-level data, etc.) 2+ years of experience managing direct reports. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Masters degree in categories directly linked to the job description (marketing, business administration, computer science) First Line Sales Leader experience. Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with practical experience in business planning. Experience integrating secondary data to drive insights; ability to efficiently synthesize large amounts of information into relevant, actionable business insights. Experience managing data transformation projections that included SQL, R/Shiny, Python/Dash, Tableau, Power BI. Highly proactive to bring a new perspective, challenge status quo and move the organization in the right direction. Demonstrated emotional intelligence and focus in GSK values: Teamwork, Accountability, Development and courage. Demonstrated capabilities to manage complex matrix organizations.
