Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a **Principal Military Trainer Target Developer (Intel), Joint Targeting Team** to join our growing team of diverse professionals at **Fort Leavenworth in Kansas** . This position is in support of the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) and trains Army Corps, Divisions, and Brigades in the Army Mission Command Systems and Operations Process. MCTP facilitates Army simulation exercises replicating a robust Operating Environment (OE) for units to conduct Large Scale Combat Operations.
**Targeting Team**
The Targeting Team serves as an imbedded team to the exercise Higher Headquarters (HICOM). This team facilitates scenario understanding, battle rhythm events, and critical linkages between the exercise control group and the HICOM.
+ During Planning, the Targeting Team conducts planning (ICW Plans) to develop and refine scenarios for subsequent WFXs
+ During the ELC (Exercise Life Cycle), works with Intel Coordination Division (ICD) to plan, prepare, and serve as a conduit between Scenario Design / MCTP and the HICOM with regard to the targeting and BDA process
+ During execution, integrates at the HICOM location with the HICOM G2 (ACE) and Fires, to operationally steer the exercise
+ Develop targets for the HICOM at one echelon above the senior training audience
+ Works directly with SDD Plans, CUOPS, and respective Operations Groups to ensure that the HICOM is providing the appropriate inputs and stimulus to training audiences
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develops and maintains the Enemy Order of Battle and conducts target development based on that notional order of battle through the Scenario Design Process and Operational Environment Development led by Plans
+ Sets the conditions for Corps and below level training by replicating critical functions of the intel architecture at the Corps level and above, while facilitating targeting as a member of the Target Team
+ Facilitates the respective WFX HICOM focused on the Intel and Targeting processes
+ Manages functions within the intelligence process, military decision-making process, and targeting cycle in the context of the WFX
+ Integrates additional WfF personnel to facilitate planning and execution (HICOM, Plans, CUOPS, Fires, ICD, EXCON, CFACC, Training Audiences)
+ During the ELC, participates in the Intel, Fires, and Scenario Design Working Groups IOT ensure training audiences understand the systems and processes required during execution
+ Integrates intelligence architecture in support of intelligence analysis, and maintains intelligence databases to support intelligence processes
+ Conducts rudimentary target development based on notional OOB and fictional scenario
+ Develops target packets to replicate the processes at all echelons above the training audience
+ Anticipates, accounts for, and responds to WfF specific RFIs associated with the scenario and order
+ Operationally applies current doctrine to develop WfF appropriate concepts
+ Writes Orders and WfF Annexes at the Corps and Land Component level
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ One of the following:
+ High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of professional and/or military leadership experience
+ Bachelors degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional and/or military leadership experience
+ Masters degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional and/or military leadership experience
+ U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC MEL 4), Warrant Officer Intermediate Level Education (WOILE), or service equivalent
+ U.S. Military service as a Field Grade Officer (MAJ, LTC), or Senior Warrant Officer (WO3, WO4, WO5)
+ Familiar with current Army and Joint doctrine
+ Familiar with MIDB, JTT, DCGSS, AFATADS
+ Must possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
+ Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Advanced degree
+ Mastery of current Army and Joint doctrine
+ Service as an ASCC, Corps, or Division G2, ACE Chief, or Senior Warrant
+ Should have experience as an OCT (Observer, Coach, Trainer) and as a WFX participant
Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
