**What You Will Achieve**



As Research Materials Delivery Lead in the Pfizer Digital Molecule Synthesis, Distribution and Assay Solutions team supporting several R&D groups and sites within Pfizer R&D, you will be responsible for providing excellent technical leadership over a large portfolio of internal and external software solutions enabling compound management and logistics. This colleague owns all aspects of delivery of the Research Materials portfolio and will take forward prioritized projects from the Research community through resource estimation, development, delivery and close of project.



We are seeking candidates with a strong technical background and deep understanding of the complexity involved with the storage, ordering, tracking and delivery of a multi-million compound library in support of hundreds of research scientists at internal and external research sites.



**How You Will Achieve It**



+ Build and maintain a cohesive Research Materials portfolio of applications that focuses on excellent user experience across R&D sites.

+ Provide technical oversight to all Research Materials projects, applications, and solutions within the portfolio and work closely with solution engineers and application SMEs to architect solutions & ensure best practices are followed

+ Partner with the Digital Product Manager to assist in the development of the strategy and roadmap for the Pfizer R&D Research Materials portfolio, including supporting project ideation and vetting with Business Leads.

+ Partner with internal R&D and Digital teams along with external vendors to ensure the portfolio applications perform as expected and meet the needs of the scientific user community.

+ Oversee project budget and spend, providing monthly updates to portfolio specialists to ensure accurate forecasting.

+ Mentor junior technical resources and build technical excellence in the delivery team, ensuring high quality software engineering practices are observed and providing technical guidance or support as needed to maintain project timelines.

+ Architect/design/document software solutions for project within the portfolio, working closely with the delivery manager to ensure successful integration with other applications, processes, and workflows within the portfolio.



**Qualifications**

**Must-Have**



+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Chemistry, or Life Science.

+ 7+ years of experience with small molecule compound inventory management processes and software

+ Demonstrated ability to lead small teams of contract resources

+ Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional scientific and technical teams

+ Strong focus on delivering excellent user experience

+ Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences



**Nice-to-Have**



+ M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Chemistry, or Life Science.

+ Experience with large molecule and/or biospecimen sample logistics

+ Strong software development expertise

+ Knowledge of relational/non-relational database and cloud technologies (ORACLE, MongoDB, AWS, S3, EC2)

+ Strong familiarity with industry-standard small molecule inventory management tools from vendors such as Titian, Scigilian, etc.
